Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of performances by artists from the Asia Culture Center in Gwangju City and Nghe An province’s traditional arts centre. Korean artists will showcase their talent with famous pieces, such as the beloved song “I Could Have Danced All Night” from the musical My Fair Lady, composed by Frederick Loewe and with lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, first published in 1956. They will also perform the official soundtrack from the film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.” In collaboration with Vietnamese artists, they will sing Vietnamese folk song “Bèo Dạt Mây Trôi” (Floating Water Ferns and Wandering Clouds) and the popular song “Butter” recorded by the Korean boy band BTS. In 2022, Nghe An province and Gwangju City signed a bilateral cooperation agreement to promote investment, trade, tourism, culture, science and technology, and education. The Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam is offering various activities for participants to engage in Korean culture. On July 28, there will be a workshop where participants can create crafts from Korean traditional Hanji paper. On August 4, participants can listen to Korean children’s stories and create Korean Minhwa painting. Additionally, on August 12, there will be an opportunity to make masks and experience Korean traditional mask dancing. All activities will take place at the National Library of Vietnam, located at 31 Trang Thi street in Hanoi. These activities are free of charge. In 2017, the International Cultural Foundation (ICF) of the Republic of Korea opened the children cultural library at the National Library of Vietnam, providing a space for cultural exchanges and book readings to help children understand more about Korean culture.
