Bau Trang (means White Lake), also called Bau Sen (means Lotus Lake) is freshwater lake situated in immense white sand dunes of Mui Ne. Celebration In Hanoi Pays Tribute to 121 Iconic Vietnamese Dishes

The selection comprises 47 dishes from the northern region, 37 from the central region, and 37 from southern localities. These dishes accurately reflect the rich cultural heritage and culinary traditions of each locality and region in Vietnam. The selection process was based on various criteria, including cultural significance, historical importance, culinary techniques, and economic value. The Vietnamese Cultural Culinary Association (VCCA), led by President Nguyen Quoc Ky, has been actively involved in this project. The VCCA aims to transform Vietnam into a global culinary destination, while also preserving and promoting the cultural values of the country. As of the end of 2022, the project has already collected data on 421 dishes from 60 cities and provinces. Official Report: Vietnamese Language Widely Used in Taiwan (China)

The Taiwanese Ministry of Education’s Southeast Asian language program has successfully taught more than 700 classes and approximately 30,000 students over the past six years. This program aims to foster language skills for individuals interested in visiting, studying, or doing business in the region, according to an article in Taiwan News. Hsieh Li-chun, the Director-General of the Department of Technological and Vocational Education, emphasized the program’s expansion over the years, starting with 98 classes in 2017 and reaching 143 classes last year. Initially focusing on basic language skills, the program now includes instruction on professional terminology in various Southeast Asian languages such as Indonesian, Thai, Malay, Burmese, and Vietnamese. Artisans in the village skillfully handcraft lanterns of diverse shapes and vibrant colors. Creating hand-made lanterns involves several steps. Firstly, bamboo trees are carefully selected. Then, bamboo sticks are cut and shaped to construct sturdy frames. Next, plastic papers are meticulously painted to adorn and encase the frames. Finally, the lanterns are beautifully decorated, adding the finishing touches to these exquisite works of art. The traditional lanterns using candles have a significant cultural value in Vietnamese culture, according to Artisan Nguyen Trong Thanh. Minister of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts Long Ponnasirivath said that this year, the two countries have resumed face-to-face cultural exchange programmes, after two years they were held in other forms, mainly online. According to him, the Vietnam Culture Week in Cambodia last month and this event are not only to implement the two countries’ culture and fine arts cooperation plan, but also important activities in celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
