2023 Festival of Embassies Food and Culture Showcases Vietnamese Cuisine

The annual cultural event aims to enhance cultural exchange and provide locals with a greater understanding of different nations around the world. Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy traditional dishes and impressive cultural performances from various countries. Notably, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic collaborated with TAMDA FOODS company to showcase traditional Vietnamese dishes such as fried spring rolls, southern Vietnamese beef noodles, and bun cha. Czech customers also expressed a keen interest in other aspects of Vietnamese culture, particularly conical hats. The participation of the Vietnamese Embassy in this event has helped promote the culture and image of Vietnam to the Czech community and international friends. Concert of Notable Italian Opera Excerpts to Take Place at Hanoi Opera House

In this gala, the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet will perform two famous opera excerpts: La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi and La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini. The event will also include other classic Italian opera excerpts, resulting in a total of 19 opera performances. La Traviata tells the story of a young man, Alfredo Germont, from a powerful family in Provence, who falls in love with a rich prostitute named Violetta Valéry. However, their love affair is hindered by Alfredo’s father, Giorgio Germont, who wants to protect his family’s reputation. This leads to misunderstanding, conflict, and ultimately, tragedy. The gala will feature enchanting performances of Aria: “Ah fors’e lui che l’anima” by soprano artist Dao To Loan and Duet: “Parigi o cara” depicting the reunion of Alfredo and Violetta, sung by guest artists Kim Yeo Won and Truong Linh. French and Canadian Teams Take Part in Da Nang Fireworks Festival

The team Hands Fireworks from Canada made their debut at the DIIF with a performance titled “Aurora.” This performance aimed to recreate the shimmering beauty of the aurora, a natural light display typically visible only at night in the lower polar regions. Accompanied by Canadian electronic music, the French performance left the audience in awe with its mesmerizing use of light and colors. Another newcomer to the DIFF, the team Arteventia from France, presented a performance called “Colours of Hope.” This performance conveyed a powerful message about the importance of resilience in overcoming difficulties and discovering the beauty of life. Dong Nai Local to Compete for Miss Teen International 2023

The girl, a student at Hong Bang International University in Ho Chi Minh City, emerged as the winner of a local beauty contest with the theme “Nét đẹp Thiếu nữ Việt” in December 2022. She has also participated in numerous fashion shows in Vietnam and actively engaged in charity events across the nation. Miss Teen International 2023 is scheduled to be held in Cambodia from June 15 to 24. The Vietnamese contestant will be competing against dozens of other participants aged 14-19 in order to claim the title of the beauty pageant. Last year, Ngo Ngoc Gia Han, 16, from Ho Chi Minh City, was crowned the winner of Miss Teen International 2022 during the pageant’s grand finale held in India on July 30.
