Signs of Collaboration Between Dak Lak Province and South Korean Firm

Practical projects According to the Department of Foreign Affairs, Dak Lak has three official development assistance (ODA) projects funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The water supply project in Buon Ho town, completed in 2013 with a capacity of 5,600 m3/day and night, has a total investment of VND87.8 billion (US$3.6 million), with VND62.5 billion (US$2.5 million) as non-refundable aid capital and the remaining as counterpart capital from the Government of Vietnam. This project provides domestic water supply for 56,000 households in Buon Ho town. In 2017, KOICA supported Dak Lak province with the “Project to improve the efficiency of Buon Ho town water supply project”, investing VND19.6 billion (US$813 thousand) to construct nearly 39 km of pipelines and supply water to 2,400 households. According to The Guardian (UK), the world’s largest bottle of whisky, known as the “Intrepid,” stands at 1.8 meters tall. Vietnamese businessman Viet Nguyen Dinh Tuan is the proud owner of this 311-liter bottle of 32-year-old Macallan single malt, which he acquired for £1.1 million at an auction in Edinburgh, Scotland. Viet Nguyen Dinh Tuan purchased the 311-liter bottle of 32-year-old Macallan single malt for £1.1 million at auction. He is a well-known collector with a spirits collection valued at over £150 million. Viet added the bottle of whisky to his collection in Ho Chi Minh City, along with a certificate from Guinness World Records confirming it as the largest in the world. The final price per dram (25ml) amounted to nearly £92. As a long time investor in rare spirits, Viet owns a variety of the world’s rarest and oldest cognac and whisky bottles. Auction of Paintings by King Ham Nghi to Take Place in France

French auction house Lynda Trouvé will be auctioning off several Indochinese artworks, including 19 paintings by King Ham Nghi, who was exiled to Algeria by the French colonialists due to his patriotism. The auction is scheduled for September 22. One notable piece is “Soleil Couchant Sur La Campagne” (Sunset over the Countryside), painted in 1911, which features the handwritten date, signature, and royal title of the king. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a collection of paintings by the esteemed former emperor of Annam, the predecessor of modern-day Vietnam. These works of art, sourced from the attic of Henri Aubé, a French military officer who served in Hanoi from 1907 to 1909, are being made available for sale. Auction in France of Paintings Commissioned by the Last Emperor of Vietnam

The auction, organized by Drouot, France’s oldest auction house, is scheduled for September 22nd. This collection of 19 paintings, previously owned by infantry lieutenant colonel Henri Aubé, is currently being held by a private collector. Emperor Ham Nghi, who had a brief reign from 1884 to 1885 before being exiled to Algeria by the French, personally painted these artworks and gifted them to Aubé as a sign of comradeship. The paintings were discovered after the wars in a discarded box and have been carefully preserved ever since.
