“Vietnam Ao Dai Week” launched to celebrate International Women’s Day

Paramount Network, Baby First stop airing in Vietnam

According to the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, the Ministry of Information and Communications revoked a certificate granted to the International Media Joint Stock Company (IMC) on providing Paramount Network channel on Vietnam’s pay-TV services, and another allowing Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) to edit this foreign channel. The ministry also took back a certificate licensed to Msky Co. Ltd. on the distribution of Baby First in Vietnam, and another to the Vietnam News Agency TV channel (Vnews) on editing programmes of this channel. ActionAid – AFV Presented VND 100 million to Support Handicaps in Bac Lieu

The 22nd Partnership Meeting (APM 2023) was held in Bac Lieu on Feb. 28. The event lasts for three days, discussing investment solutions to support young people to access the equitable digital economy, green carbon, and sustainable community development. Initiated by ActionAid International, APM has run continuously since 2002, aiming to share information and improve the management quality of programs funded and co-funded by ActionAid in Vietnam. Hanoi village hosts annual water festival

The ceremony starts at the village temple. There are two main palanquins, one called Song Loan for the goddess, and another called Long Dinh for the god. The porters carry these palanquins for a total of two km from the village to the Red River, where they take water before returning to the village. The Long Dinh palanquin is traditionally carried by single men. The Song Loan palanquin is carried by single women. Porters rotate the palanquins at the village’s temple. People believe that god and goddess will appear when the palanquins are rotated. A key aspect of the event is that porters must not let the palanquins touch the ground. Carrying palanquins to the Red River While walking, the porters must rotate the palanquins in every direction possible. UNESCO ready to help Lang Son build global geopark dossier

At a working session with local leaders, Manhart spoke highly of potential in the Lang Son geopark area and urged the province to continue perfecting the dossier to be submitted to UNESCO for global recognition. The dossier should clarify the necessity and differences of the Lang Son geopark as compared with the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark and the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark, he said, asking Lang Son to outline a comprehensive, sustainable management plan. Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Luong Trong Quynh noted that the Lang Son geopark was established in 2021, encompassing the five districts of Bac Son, Binh Gia, Chi Lang, Huu Lung and Van Quan. Its total area is over 3,800 sq.km with a population of 375,656, accounting for some 46.3% of the province’s area and 48.1% of its population.
